Jan is one of the most remarkable figures on the contemporary music scene. Thanks to his extraordinary talent and inner strength, he successfully builds his musical career despite the visual handicap he has had to overcome since birth. The way he has been able to develop his talents is inspiring in many ways.

Born in 1981 in Hradec Králové, he spent most of his childhood in Brno. He has always loved sports, travelling, books, nature, but music has all the time been the winner above all. Therefore, along with the Primary School for the Blind, he also studied singing and piano at the Primary School of Arts in Brno – Královo Pole. In 1998 he moved to Prague with his parents.

UNUSUAL STORY, UNUSUAL VOICE
is the common motto of Jan’s performances, from which the audience takes away not only an artistic experience, but also the encouragement that the fulfilment of dreams is worth pursuing.

Jan performs as a solo singer with his own piano accompaniment or in an ensemble extended by one or more instruments (saxophone, viola, double bass, drums). His programme includes successful songs from his own repertoire as well as well-known compositions of Czech and international popular music. True to his unique style and skill, he convincingly interprets big songs as well as emotional statements on the edge of chanson. The impression is completed by moderation in Czech or English.
